Most Bible apps want something from you — your email, your habits, your data. They gamify reading with streaks. They serve ads between verses. They sell premium tiers that gate features behind a paywall.
We thought Scripture deserved better. So we built one without all of that.
BibleWell is free. There's no account to create. Your notes and highlights live on your device, never on a server. We don't track what you read, when you read, or how often. The app simply opens, gives you the Word, and gets out of the way.
BibleWell is small and intentional, not bloated. The features that ship are the ones we actually use:
BibleWell AI provides verse insights and answers Bible questions. Only the verse text and your question are sent for processing — no personal data, no account information, no tracking. Responses are generated in real time and not stored after delivery.
We use AI not because it's trendy, but because it can genuinely help readers — especially first-time Bible readers — understand passages that have confused people for centuries. AI doesn't replace prayer, study, or community. It's a study aid, not an oracle.
BibleWell is built by Christians, for everyone. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, true, and worth reading carefully. We don't promote any specific denomination, prosperity gospel, or politics. The app holds the text up and lets it speak.
