When you read chapters not embedded in the app, BibleWell makes a request to a third-party scripture API (bible.helloao.org) to retrieve Bible text. This request may include your IP address as part of standard internet communication, but no personal identifying information is sent. We do not control or store data from these requests.
BibleWell displays advertisements served by Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-3768558359690403) to help support free access for all users. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve relevant ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.
If you choose to support BibleWell financially, you will be redirected to Stripe's secure payment platform. BibleWell does not collect or store any payment information. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe and governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
When you use the AI Verse Insight feature, the selected verse text and reference are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate an explanation. No personal information is included in this request. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle API data.
BibleWell is a faith-based app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from children or any users, in accordance with Canada's PIPEDA and applicable privacy laws.
